Revise the grammar:
I, Simple present ( hiện tại đơn):
1. Form :
(+)
 S + V (es,s ) ……..


(- )
 S + don’t / doesn’t + V(infinitive) …… .


( ? )
(Wh) + do/ does + S +V(infinitive ) …... ?

 2. Notes :
- Lưu ý khi chủ ngữ là ngôi thứ ba số ít thì động từ phải được thêm “ es, s” , còn nếu chủ ngữ là số nhiều thì ta chỉ cần mở ngoặc là xong .
VD : He ( watch) TV after dinner . => watches
They ( go) to school on foot . => go
- Động từ thêm “es” khi tận cùng của động từ là “ o, ch, sh , s, x , z” hoặc tận cùng là phụ âm + y ta biến y thành “ ies”
VD : go => goes hoặc study => studies
3. Cách đọc với động từ thêm “ es”:
Có 3 cách đọc : / s / , /z/ ,/ iz/
a. Ta phát âm là / iz/ nếu động từ tận cùng là một trong những âm sau :/s /, /z/,
/∫( sh)/, / t∫(ch) /, / dჳ / .
VD : watches , washes, misses
b. Nếu động từ tận cùng là âm vô thanh phát âm là: /s/, /p/ ,/t/, /k/ , /f/, /(( th)
VD : wants , looks , paths ( lối mòn )
c. Nếu động từ là âm hữu thanh hoặc nguyên âm /b/, /d/ ,/ g/ , /v/ ,/∂ (th)/, / l/, /m/, /n/, / ŋ( ng)/.
VD : loves , tries
4. Usage :
- Hiện tại đơn mô tả những hành động được lặp đi lặp lại và trở thành thói quen trong hiện tại .
VD : He often gets up at 7 o’clock .
- Hiện tại đơn mô tả những hành động có thật ở hiện tại .
VD : He lives in Ha Noi.
- Mô tả những hành động có thật đã trở thành chân lý.
VD : The earth moves around the sun.( Trái đất quay quanh mặt trời)
5. Recognizaton :
- Nói đến hiện tại đơn ta thường thấy xuất hiện các từ sau:
a. Các trạng từ chỉ định mức :
always / usually / often / sometimes / seldom / hardly/ rarely / never.
b. Các trạng từ chỉ định mức :
once a week every day
twice a day morning
three times a month afternoon
four times a year evening
